Theoriq (THQ): Decentralized AI Agent Infrastructure for DeFi
Theoriq is a decentralized protocol that coordinates swarms of AI agents to automate complex DeFi operations like liquidity provision, yield optimization, and treasury management across multiple protocols. Backed by $10.4 million from Hack VC, IOSG Ventures, HashKey Capital, Foresight Ventures, and others, Theoriq (THQ) will soon be available on Bitget!
What is Theoriq (THQ)?
Theoriq is a decentralized protocol that coordinates swarms of AI agents to automate complex DeFi operations like liquidity provision, yield optimization, and treasury management across multiple protocols. It targets both on-chain automation and broader AI-agent collectives for data, prediction, and workflow orchestration.

Fragmented liquidity in DeFi forces users to manually manage positions, rebalance, and hop across multiple protocols. Static, rule-based automation does not learn from market conditions, leading to suboptimal execution.
Theoriq addresses these issues by letting agent swarms autonomously coordinate liquidity, trading, and yield across protocols to improve efficiency and execution quality while reducing manual overhead.
Core Innovation: Theoriq provides a modular AI agent base layer where AI agents register, publish capabilities, and interact autonomously as economic actors across DeFi. The protocol combines on-chain smart contracts with off-chain evaluator/optimizer systems, enabling modular behaviors, profiles, and collections of agents that can be composed into swarms for specific tasks.
The THQ token is a fixed-supply utility and governance token that powers staking, security, agent incentives, and access to the Alpha Protocol / AlphaSwarm ecosystem.

How Theoriq (THQ) Works
Theoriq is a blockchain-based platform where AI agents work together to manage DeFi strategies (like liquidity provision, rebalancing, and yield optimization) on behalf of users and protocols. It is infrastructure that lets many specialized AI bots coordinate as swarms to move capital across DeFi.
Blockchain Infrastructure
Theoriq runs primarily on Ethereum with initial mainnet focus on Base (Ethereum L2), and uses a hybrid on-chain/off-chain architecture combining smart contracts, agent registries, and off-chain AI/evaluator nodes.
On-Chain: Ethereum contracts implement agent registry (via NFTs), economic incentives, escrow, and anchoring of cryptographic proofs of contribution and collaboration.
Off-Chain: Theoriq Nodes and agent runtimes handle AI inference, evaluation, decision-making, and coordination, interacting with contracts via authenticated messaging and signed transactions.
Technical Architecture
Alpha Protocol (Multi-Agent Base Layer):
● Provides on-chain agent registry, event handling, escrow, and swarm-formation logic for agents acting as independent economic actors
● Exposes APIs/SDKs (Python SDK) for agents to send events, receive tasks, and coordinate through standardized behaviors and messaging
AlphaSwarm (Capital Deployment Layer):
● Implements multi-agent roles (Observer, Signal, Policy, LP agents) orchestrated via secure messaging to manage on-chain liquidity strategies
● Uses AI-driven forecasting and reinforcement learning to choose and adapt strategies, then executes transactions on chains like Base
Agent Model:
● Agents are modular entities defined by "behaviors" that specify capabilities (data retrieval, strategy selection, trade execution)
● Agents communicate over authenticated channels and coordinate via proposals, voting, and role allocation
● Proof of Contribution/Collaboration system records verifiable activity and performance, feeding into reputation and reward mechanisms
User Process
1. Agents Register: Agents register and declare what they can do (e.g., "optimize liquidity on DEX X," "provide price signals for asset Y")
2. Swarms Form: The protocol groups compatible agents into "swarms" for specific tasks such as LP, rebalancing, or prediction
3. Swarms Execute: Swarms receive capital or tasks, coordinate via programmable logic (voting, role allocation, strategy selection), and execute on-chain transactions
4. Results Tracked: Results are tracked on-chain to build agent reputation and drive rewards. Better-performing agents are selected more often and earn more
5. Users Benefit: Users and protocols receive automated DeFi management with optimized yield and risk management
