FAQ
What is CFD copy trading?
CFD copy trading is designed for traders of all experience levels, offering access to advanced tools and professional CFD trading strategies. Investors can copy the trades of elite traders through their Bitget CFD (MT5) accounts, earning passive income without prior trading experience. Check out the details here.
Does CFD copy trading require identity verification (KYC)?
Yes. You need to complete Level 2 identity verification. Your documents must include your birthplace, nationality, and proof of address. If verification is incomplete, you'll see a prompt when trying to activate your MT5 account. Check out the details here.
Is CFD copy trading available 24/7?
No. CFD copy trading may be unavailable during non-trading hours or system maintenance. Please refer to the announcements on the CFD copy trading homepage for the latest updates. Orders placed outside trading hours will be processed once trading resumes.
What instruments are available in Bitget CFD copy trading?
CFD copy trading supports forex, index, and commodity CFDs. USDT-M perpetual futures are not supported. Check out the details here.
How do copiers copy elite traders' positions?
The size of each copy trade is determined by the ratio of the copier's account equity to the elite trader's account equity at the time of the trade. This keeps the copied order size proportional to the elite trader's equity and order size. Check out the details here.
How does profit share work for CFD copy trading?
CFD copy trading uses the high-water mark (HWM) model. Profit share settlement only occurs when the cumulative net profit exceeds the last recorded peak profit. In other words, the elite trader must fully recover any losses before becoming eligible for profit share again. A new high-water mark is set only when new profits exceed the previous peak. Check out the details here.
Can I customize the leverage for CFD copy trades?
No. Each Bitget CFD (MT5) instrument has a fixed default leverage that cannot be changed by elite traders or copiers.
