United Overseas Bank Singapore: Indonesia's economy may face tough times in 2026Glonghui, February 12th|Analysts from United Overseas Bank Singapore, Kay Hian and Suryaputra Wijaksana, pointed out in a report that Indonesia's economy may face a difficult situation in 2026. Several major government initiatives, including the free meal program, could put pressure on the country's finances. Export growth is expected to slow down, especially for coal and palm oil, due to weakening commodity prices and demand. The analysts stated that recent developments may also dampen foreign investment interest, including MSCI's warning on the investability of Indonesian securities and Moody's decision to downgrade Indonesia's credit rating outlook to negative.

Ethereum Foundation Director: Currently, no L1 technology can rival Ethereum in terms of both technology and monetary value. Hsiao-Wei Wang, Co-Executive Director of the Ethereum Foundation, stated at the Consensus 2026 conference that currently no other L1 can compete with Ethereum in terms of technology and monetary value.
When discussing Ethereum's core value proposition to development teams, she pointed out that censorship resistance and privacy protection tools are becoming increasingly important, which not only aligns with the values of crypto punks but also meets the growing demand for on-chain privacy from institutions and ordinary users.
In addition, she emphasized that innovation at the application layer is another major focus, especially in the field of “Identity,” for which there is currently no universal solution. ENS has laid the foundation for user identity creation, and future efforts need to further explore universal identity solutions with privacy protection features to cover various application scenarios such as ticket sales, governance use cases, and social layers.

Lightning Labs open-sources lightning-agent-tools: AI agents natively integrate Lightning Network paymentsForesight News reported that Lightning Labs has open-sourced lightning-agent-tools, providing AI agents with native Lightning Network payment capabilities and supporting native agent authentication without the need for identity credentials, API keys, or registration processes. The toolkit covers seven composable skills: running a Lightning node, isolating private keys via a remote signer, creating scoped credentials, paying L402-gated API fees, hosting paid endpoints, querying node status via MCP, and coordinating end-to-end buyer-seller workflows. These skills are compatible with any agent framework capable of executing shell commands, including Claude Code, Codex, or custom-built tools. Additionally, this release includes the command-line HTTP client lnget, which supports the L402 protocol and allows intelligent agents to seamlessly access L402-gated APIs and content.
