Overnight Updates on the Latest US-Iran Situation(1) On the seventh day of the conflict, clashes between both sides continue to escalate. The Israeli military claims to have launched airstrikes on over 400 targets within Iran, including missile launchers and drone facilities in Tehran. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran has initiated a new round of strikes under "True Promise 4," launching missiles and drones at locations such as Tel Aviv in Israel, and has declared that it fired shore-to-sea missiles at the US aircraft carrier "Lincoln." (2) Political and diplomatic rhetoric has intensified. US President Trump has made it clear that the United States will not reach any agreement with Iran except for "unconditional surrender." White House Press Secretary Levitt stated that the US is "steadily controlling Iranian airspace" and expects the operation to be completed within four to six weeks. Iranian diplomatic missions abroad have strongly condemned the "military aggression" by the US and Israel, vowing to defend national sovereignty. (3) The spillover effects of the conflict have significantly intensified. Shipping in the Strait of Hormuz has been disrupted, causing international oil prices to soar, with US crude oil futures surpassing $90 per barrel. The International Maritime Organization confirmed that attacks on ships in the strait have resulted in at least four crew members killed. In addition, multiple regions including Lebanon and Iraq have been affected. A base of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) was attacked, leaving two Ghanaian peacekeepers seriously injured. (4) The international community has urgently called for de-escalation. UN Secretary-General Guterres warned that the regional situation "could spiral out of control," urging an immediate cessation of hostilities and the start of serious diplomatic negotiations. Russian President Putin and Iranian President Pezeshkian held a phone call, reiterating the need to abandon military solutions and return to the political track. Spanish Prime Minister Sánchez also publicly stated that the military actions by the US and Israel are "an extremely serious mistake."

BlackRock's $26 billion private credit fund restricts redemptions, raising concerns about spillover pressure on bitcoin and DeFiAccording to Odaily, a private credit fund under asset management giant BlackRock, with a scale of approximately $26 billion, has begun to restrict withdrawals due to an increase in redemption requests, raising concerns about the spillover pressure in the global private credit market. Analysts warn that risks could also be directly transmitted on-chain. Data shows that the current on-chain private credit scale has approached $5 billion, mainly entering DeFi in the form of RWA tokenization. If the underlying credit assets experience impairment or default, the net value fluctuations of related tokens may trigger liquidations or liquidity tightening, thereby transmitting traditional credit stress to the DeFi ecosystem. In addition, tensions in this sector may be transmitted to the crypto market through two channels: macro deleveraging and tokenized credit products. If private credit funds are forced to deleverage or liquidate assets, it could trigger a chain reaction among broader risk assets, affecting crypto assets including bitcoin. (CoinDesk)
