Sky Mavis: Axie Infinity NFT character will have 'Stage 2' evolution

Sky Mavis revealed that the NFT characters of monsters in the P2E chain game Axie Infinity will soon be able to upgrade. The recent update allows each Axie monster to undergo "Stage 2" evolution (similar to Pokemon). Starting from December 14th, more than 250 different Axie "parts" can evolve on any Axie NFT, upgrading the character's combat power and appearance.
Sky Mavis co-founder Jeffrey "Jiho" Zirlin said in an interview: "We are turning Axie into an evolving digital collectible, which is actually our core vision for more than five years." (Decrypt)
