Galaxy Digital CEO: It is expected that the Bitcoin ETF will be approved on January 10th
Galaxy Digital CEO Michael Novogratz recently discussed his expectations and focused on the cryptocurrency market and Bitcoin price in 2023 during an interview with CNBC. Additionally, Novogratz expressed confidence in the SEC's imminent approval of a physically-backed Bitcoin ETF. Novogratz stated, "We will launch this ETF before January 10, 2024. This is Gensler's final deadline before getting involved with Grayscale and litigation."
It is currently unclear whether Novogratz specifically referred to Grayscale's Bitcoin ETF or any other Bitcoin ETF applications submitted by financial institutions. Meanwhile, Grayscale CEO Michael Sonnenshein stated that the SEC needs to approve multiple Bitcoin ETF applications simultaneously to avoid giving any issuer an early advantage.
