Charlie Bilello: The 12-month annualized volatility of Bitcoin has reached its lowest level in 12 years
Charlie Bilello, Chief Market Strategist at Creative Planning, stated that the 12-month annualized volatility of Bitcoin has reached its lowest level in 12 years. According to Bilello's data, this volatility level has decreased from a high point of 179% in January 2012 to 45% in January 2024. Bradley Park, an analyst at CryptoQuant, believes that the decrease in volatility may indicate more long-term holders; some ETF analysts suggest that the launch of a US spot Bitcoin ETF further reduces volatility.
