As of the close of U.S. stocks, BlackRock's spot Bitcoin ETF daily trading volume surpassed GBTC for the first time
According to data from Bloomberg Intelligence, as of the close of U.S. stocks on February 1st, the daily trading volume of BlackRock's spot Bitcoin ETF (IBIT) surpassed GBTC for the first time, with IBIT slightly above $300 million and GBTC at about $290 million. Bloomberg analyst James Seyffart said: "There are still some after-hours trades, but it seems that IBIT is the first ETF with a single-day trading volume surpassing Grayscale's GBTC. Despite today's total trading volume being $924 million, it's somewhat disappointing as this is the first time since its inception that such product has had a single-day trading volume below $1 billion."
