S&P 500 closes above 5,000 for first time, rises for fifth straight week
The S&P 500 closed above 5,000 for the first time, rising for the fifth straight week. The Nasdaq Composite Index rose 1.25 per cent to close at 15,990.66, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 54.64 points to close at 38,671.69.
