Morgan Stanley's Asia strategist completely exits long positions in the US dollar
Morgan Stanley Asia exits long positions in the US dollar and relaxes its cautious stance on Asian local markets. Strategists Min Dai and Gek Teng Khoo stated that although the momentum of US economic growth seems strong, if it exceeds expectations again, it may push up short-term interest rates and the US dollar. However, some investors attribute the strong data to seasonal factors at the beginning of the year, with recent softening in US retail sales. The two strategists suggest maintaining caution on Asian bonds and currencies but "considering the trends in these two markets over the past month and a half," slightly relaxing their cautious stance.
