The three major U.S. stock indexes closed slightly lower, with the Dow down 0.25%, the Nasdaq down 0.41%, and the S&P 500 down 0.12%, as popular tech stocks were mixed, with Intel up more than 4%, Nvidia up more than 3%, Apple and Google down more than 2%, and Tesla down more than 7%.
