Metaplanet Increases Bitcoin Holdings, Acquiring Additional 19.87 BTC

Metaplanet, a Web3 company based in Japan, has acquired an additional 19.87 BTC worth ¥200 million ($1.25 million), following its previous purchase of ¥1 billion ($6.25 million) worth of BTC. The company's current total BTC holdings are around 117.7 BTC. Metaplanet's shift to Bitcoin as its core treasury asset signifies a growing trend of institutional adoption of cryptocurrencies and strengthens BTC's legitimacy as a store of value and hedge against inflation.
