The three major U.S. stock indexes closed collectively lower, the Dow fell 1.53%, the worst one-day performance since March 2023, the Nasdaq fell 0.39%, the S&P 500 index fell 0.74%, most of the popular technology stocks declined, Nvidia bucked the trend and rose more than 9%, Intel fell more than 4%, Tesla, AMD fell more than 3%, Apple fell more than 2%, Google, Amazon fell more than 1%.
