According to BlockBeats news on July 4, Cointelegraph reported that Bitcoin Core developers have launched a "Critical Bug" disclosure policy aimed at more effectively communicating about Bitcoin security vulnerabilities.
Bitcoin Core developers Antoine Poinsot and five others stated in a letter written to the members of the Bitcoin Development mailing list on July 3, "The project has always performed poorly in publicly disclosing critical security vulnerabilities, whether they are externally reported or discovered by contributors,"
Antoine Poinsot said that there is a dangerous perception that Bitcoin Core has no errors, and pointed out that this is "dangerous and unfortunately it's not accurate."
