Reuters poll: More than 50% of economists expect the Fed to cut the federal funds rate by 75 basis points this year

55 out of 101 economists surveyed by Reuters expect the Federal Reserve to cut the federal funds rate by 75 basis points this year (50 basis points in July). The surveyed economists expect the average economic growth rate in the United States to be 2.5% and 1.8% in 2024 and 2025, respectively.
