Tether CEO: No plans to develop blockchain on its own, blockchain is just a transport layer

Aug. 23 (Bloomberg) -- Tether Chief Executive Officer Paolo Ardoino said in an interview with Bloomberg News that, despite the company's technical prowess, blockchain may become a commodity in the future, so launching it on its own may not be the right choice. Ardoino was quoted as saying: “For us, the blockchain is just the transport layer.”
