US stocks extend gains, S&P 500 up 0.2 per cent

U.S. stocks continued to rise, the Nasdaq rose 1%, the S&P 500 index rose 0.2%. Chip plate rose, Nvidia (NVDA.O) rose more than 5%, Micron Technology (MU.O) rose 2.3%, Asmax (ASML.O) rose nearly 5%, Intel (INTC.O) rose 1%.
