Bloomberg boss has spent nearly $100m backing Harris
Michael Bloomberg, the former New York mayor and Bloomberg boss, recently donated $50 million to a non-profit organisation supporting US Democratic presidential candidate Harris, the New York Times reported, citing several people familiar with the matter. Bloomberg's latest donation went to the nonprofit Future Forward USA Action, the people familiar with the matter said.Prior to this anonymous donation, he had given $47 million in public political contributions to the Democratic Party, second only to George Soros among all big Democratic moneymakers. Bloomberg had put $95 million into helping Democrats in the 2018 midterm elections. Bloomberg, 82, is worth as much as Bill Gates at about $105 billion, according to Forbes.
