Messari Releases GEODNET 2024Q4 Report: 219% Growth in Global RTK Networks
PANews, Feb. 6 -- As of the end of 2024, GEODNET had more than 12,000 active satellite miners globally, a year-on-year growth of 219 percent, making it the world's largest RTK network, surpassing centralized competitors such as Trimble, according to a Messari report. The network covers more than 140 countries and 4,000 cities, with a strong focus on the US, Europe, South America, Australia and India.
During Q4 2024, GEOD token destruction reached record highs, up 54% (GEOD-denominated) and 463% (USD-denominated) year-on-year, reflecting market demand and revenue growth. In addition, GEODNET completed a $20 million strategic financing round with investors including AnimocaBrands and ParaFiCapital.In December 2024, GEODNET executed its largest token unlock, releasing 32.46 million GEOD ($79.8 million), but the GEOD price was unaffected and remained at record highs before and after the unlock.
