Tether CEO: Supporting the deployment plan of solar panels in Africa, which can be paid for with local currency, Bitcoin LN and USDT

On March 2nd, Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino posted on platform X stating that by 2023, there will be 600 million people in Africa without electricity. Imagine a small pavilion in Africa equipped with solar panels at the top, capable of charging hundreds of high-performance batteries and providing monthly subscription services to local communities. Payments can be made using local currency, Bitcoin Lightning Network (LN), or USDT. Currently, they are building and deploying 10 thousand devices which will then expand to one hundred thousand units and eventually become the largest distribution network for any goods and services. They aim to educate Africans on how to use Bitcoin and USDT savings by providing high-quality educational materials and courses as well as superior scalable technology empowering hundreds of thousands of villages and billions of people. Tether is pushing forward with related deployment plans in the African market.
