The three major U.S. stock indices opened lower collectively, with the Nasdaq down 0.28%, the S&P 500 index down 0.09%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 0.14%. Intel rose more than 13% as the company appointed industry veteran Chen Liwu as CEO.
Trump threatened to impose a 200% tariff on EU alcoholic products, causing Remy Cointreau to fall about 4% and LVMH to drop more than 1%.
