1kx strategically invests in Web3 gaming startup Gunzilla Games
Cryptocurrency venture capital firm 1kx announced a strategic investment in Gunzilla Games, the blockchain game developer of the anti-utopian cyberpunk shooting game "Off The Grid". The specific amount has not been disclosed. It is reported that 1kx had previously been skeptical about deploying cryptocurrency strategies in AAA games due to risks involved with early product execution. This investment seems to be a transformational adjustment to its previous investment strategy.
Previously, Gunzilla Games also received investment support from fund giant VanEck last year.
