Former US Treasury Secretary claims "the argument that imposing tariffs benefits the US" is a fraud

Odaily Planet Daily reports that former US Treasury Secretary Lawrence Summers said on a TV program: "The current tariff level is more than ten times higher than when the US launched a trade war in 2018. I believe that any talk of 'imposing additional tariffs has other (positive) effects', fundamentally, is fraudulent. The U.S. government's policy of arbitrarily imposing tariffs is very dangerous. This is the worst economic policy since World War II and the most severe self-harm."
