US President Donald Trump stated that if Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell does not immediately lower interest rates, the country's economy may slow down. On Monday, Trump posted on his social media platform, asserting that the decline in energy and commodity prices means there is "almost no inflation." "But the economy may slow down unless 'Mr. Too Late,' this big waste, lowers interest rates now," Trump said, once again using a derogatory nickname for Powell.
