S&P 500 Hits Seventh Record Close of the Year, Nasdaq Achieves Fourth Record Close in 2024
According to Jinse Finance, the S&P 500 closed up 0.83% on Thursday, the Nasdaq rose 1.02%, and the Dow Jones closed up 0.77%. The S&P 500 set its seventh record closing high of the year, while the Nasdaq marked its fourth record close of 2024. All three major indexes posted gains for the week, with the S&P 500 up 1.7%, the Nasdaq up 1.6%, and the Dow Jones up 2.3%. Technology stocks generally advanced, with Nvidia rising 1.3% on Thursday to close at a record high.
