Horizen Migrates Native Token ZEN from Layer 1 to Base Chain
According to Jinse Finance, the Horizen blockchain has migrated its native token from its original Layer 1 blockchain to the Base chain, making it a standard ERC-20 token. This token migration is part of Horizen 2.0’s deployment as a Layer 3 application chain on Base. During this migration, ZEN became a standard ERC-20 token, and Horizen also launched a privacy-focused Layer 3 application chain. The maximum supply of ZEN remains unchanged at 21 million. The project team noted that this marks the first step in Horizen’s relaunch of its privacy-centric application chain ecosystem on Base. Previously, an exchange announced on the X platform that it would automatically convert users’ ZEN tokens held on the Horizen mainnet into equivalent ERC-20 tokens on Base.
