Tennessee Man Accused of Stealing XRP, Ethereum, and SHIB from Singer George Jones’ Widow
Foresight News reports, citing Decrypt, that Nancy Jones, widow of country music singer George Jones, has accused Tennessee man Kirk West of stealing her XRP worth $17 million, as well as Ethereum and SHIB assets. Nancy Jones claims that Kirk West "seduced" her within months of her husband's death in 2013, using methods consistent with West's alleged pattern of targeting "wealthy and potentially vulnerable women." Nancy Jones has now hired blockchain analyst Paul Sibenik to help recover the assets, but some XRP, ETH, and SHIB have yet to be retrieved. Kirk West is currently in custody with bail set at $1 million, and a criminal hearing is scheduled for October 23.
