Trump: Next Fed Chair to Be Chosen from Four Candidates, Treasury Secretary Bessent Removed from Consideration
According to ChainCatcher, U.S. President Trump stated that many of the candidates for Federal Reserve Chair are outstanding, and the final choice will be made from among four individuals, with a decision to be announced soon. Walsh is excellent, both Kevins are very good, and the other candidates are also strong.
In addition, U.S. Treasury Secretary Bessent will be removed from the list of candidates for Federal Reserve Chair. Bessent wishes to remain at the Treasury Department and may use Kugler’s vacancy as an opportunity to select the next Fed Chair.
