Interpol arrests over 1,200 suspects in multiple African countries and seizes over $100 million in cryptocurrency
on August 22, the International Criminal Police Organization announced that authorities across Africa arrested more than 1,200 suspects in a large-scale cybercrime operation and seized nearly $100 million, dismantling online fraud networks and illegal cryptocurrency mining activities. At the same time, investigators discovered 11,432 malicious infrastructure related to ransomware, business email compromise schemes, and online investment fraud.
