Fed's Bostic Reiterates That One Rate Cut Is Appropriate This Year
According to ChainCatcher, citing Jinse Finance, Atlanta Fed's Bostic reiterated that he believes one rate cut this year is appropriate, possibly a 25 basis point cut, depending on inflation and the labor market situation. He stated that although price stability remains the primary concern, the labor market has slowed sufficiently. Bostic also expressed concerns that the impact of tariffs on prices may persist, believing that the effects of tariffs will not dissipate quickly.
