Ondo Finance announces launch of Ondo Global Markets
Ondo Finance and Ondo Foundation jointly announced the launch of Ondo Global Markets. The platform allows non-U.S. investors to seamlessly access over 100 tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs on Ethereum, with plans to expand to hundreds or even thousands of assets within the year.
The platform is currently live on the Ethereum mainnet and will soon expand to BNB Chain, Solana, and Ondo Chain. Retail and institutional users outside the U.S. can instantly mint and redeem tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs on a 24/5 basis, subject to jurisdictional and other restrictions. These tokenized assets provide exposure to the full economic benefits of the underlying U.S. stocks and ETFs, with full support and protection through 1:1 backing by real stocks and ETFs held by one or more U.S. registered broker-dealers, as well as in-transit cash.

From yen rate hikes to mining farms shutting down, why is bitcoin still falling?
The recent decline in bitcoin prices is primarily driven by expectations of a rate hike by the Bank of Japan, uncertainty regarding the US Federal Reserve's rate cut trajectory, and systemic de-risking by market participants. Japan's potential rate hike may trigger the unwinding of global arbitrage trades, leading to a sell-off in risk assets. At the same time, increased uncertainty over US rate cuts has intensified market volatility. In addition, selling by long-term holders, miners, and market makers has further amplified the price drop.
