Bitcoin mining company CleanSpark announces business expansion from Bitcoin mining to AI computing power
According to ChainCatcher, citing PR Newswire, US Bitcoin mining company CleanSpark has announced the appointment of Jeffrey Thomas as Senior Vice President of AI Data Centers, marking the company's expansion from pure Bitcoin mining operations into the AI computing infrastructure sector.
Thomas has over 40 years of experience in global emerging technologies and data center infrastructure development, having created more than 12 billion USD in shareholder value across 19 projects.
CleanSpark CEO Matt Schultz stated that this expansion will leverage the company’s expertise in large-scale Bitcoin mining, utilizing its portfolio of land and power resources to develop advanced AI data center infrastructure, aiming to diversify revenue streams and enhance long-term cash flow potential. The company has identified Georgia as a strategic region for its AI business.
