Decentralized social media app Hey announces it is ceasing development.
according to the official Twitter, the decentralized social media app Hey (formerly Lenster) will cease development due to limited funds. The official statement says that the annual profit from Hey Pro and Hey Names totals approximately $41,000, which is insufficient to support the team in operating the platform at the scale users expect. The official emphasized that Hey has never promised tokens or airdrops, nor is it designed for mining; it is a social client based on Lens. Hey has been operating continuously for four years, the code remains open source, with no lock-up terms or hidden interests, and commits to openly handling refunds and explanations.
