Malaysian royal family member launches ringgit-backed stablecoin
ChainCatcher reported that Ismail Ibrahim, the eldest son of Malaysian King Sultan Ibrahim Iskandar, has announced the launch of a stablecoin named RMJDT, which is pegged to the Malaysian ringgit.
According to sources familiar with the matter, this stablecoin will be backed by local currency cash deposits and short-term Malaysian government bonds.
