Former Alameda Research CEO has been transferred from prison to an open correctional facility
According to Odaily, former Alameda Research CEO Caroline Ellison has been transferred from prison to an open correctional facility. Ellison was sentenced to two years in prison in November 2024 for defrauding FTX investors, but was transferred in October 2025 after serving only 11 months. Ellison is currently still under house arrest or in a rehabilitation institution, and is expected to be released in February 2026, nine months earlier than originally scheduled.
