SEC reviews Cboe Bitcoin ETF options listing rule change proposal
Show original
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has announced the initiation of a review process for the Cboe Exchange's proposed amendment to Rule 5.4(a). The proposal suggests adjusting the minimum price increment for Mini Bitcoin U.S. ETF Index (MBTX) options: contracts priced below $3 would have a minimum increment of $0.01, while contracts priced at $3 or above would have a minimum increment of $0.05. This adjustment aims to enhance market liquidity and align with competing products such as IBIT options. The SEC will collect public comments before deciding whether to approve the proposal.
