Spot Bitcoin trading volume drops to its lowest level in nearly a year
Show original
Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency prices have risen, but Glassnode data shows that spot trading volumes have dropped to their lowest levels since November 2023. Weak market liquidity may exacerbate price volatility, as shallow order books allow small trades to significantly move the market up or down. CoinDesk research points out that after the $19 billion liquidation event in October, crypto market depth has not fully recovered, making the market more prone to sharp price swings and sudden reversals.
