Inflation Trends for December 2025
Based on early estimates at the end of the month, consumer prices are anticipated to climb by 0.8% in December 2025, slightly less than the 0.9% rise recorded in November. This easing of inflation is mainly due to a sharper drop in energy costs, with petroleum products seeing notable declines. In contrast, food prices are set to increase more rapidly, largely driven by higher costs for fresh produce. The decrease in prices for manufactured goods is expected to slow compared to the previous month. Meanwhile, the annual growth rates for both services and tobacco prices are projected to remain unchanged from November.
