Spot gold and silver edged down slightly; earlier today, gold briefly surpassed $4,500 per ounce.
PANews reported on January 7 that spot gold experienced a sharp drop of over $20 in the short term and is now quoted at $4,472 per ounce. Spot silver has fallen below $81 per ounce, down 0.35% on the day.
Earlier this morning, spot silver rose above $82 per ounce. Spot gold climbed to $4,500 per ounce at the start of trading on Wednesday, marking the first time in over a week.
