Realme to Become Oppo Subbrand in Strategic Merger

On Wednesday, Chinese smartphone manufacturer Realme announced that it will merge with Oppo, another major Chinese electronics company, and operate as a subbrand. This consolidation is intended to streamline operations and reduce expenses for both brands, which are under the same parent company.

Realme, known for its smartphone offerings in markets such as India, Southeast Asia, and Europe, is part of BBK Electronics—a leading Chinese consumer electronics conglomerate that also owns Oppo and Vivo.
