After the release of the CPI, the probability of a Fed rate cut in April rises to 42%
According to Odaily, traders have increased their bets that the Federal Reserve may not wait until Chairman Powell's term ends in May to cut interest rates, following a report from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics indicating that core consumer prices rose slightly less than expected. Although traders still believe a rate cut in June is the most likely outcome, the latest data predicts about a 42% probability of a rate cut in April, up from 38% before the data release.
