WaFd, Inc. Announces First-Quarter Financial Results
Seattle-based WaFd, Inc. (WAFD) has released its financial results for the first quarter, reporting a net profit of $64.2 million.
The company posted earnings of $0.79 per share, or $0.75 per share after excluding one-time gains.
These earnings came in below analysts’ expectations, as a consensus of three analysts polled by Zacks Investment Research had projected earnings of $0.76 per share.
During the quarter, the parent company of Washington Federal Savings Bank generated $342.8 million in total revenue. After accounting for interest expenses, net revenue stood at $191.4 million, which also did not meet Wall Street forecasts.
