Trump May Drop Hassett Nomination, Kevin Warsh Leads Predictions for Next Fed Chair
PANews reported on January 19 that White House economic advisor Hassett hinted that he is more likely to remain in his current position and has basically withdrawn from the competition for Federal Reserve Chair. According to Kalshi and Polymarket data, former board member Kevin Warsh's probability of being selected has risen to about 60%, ahead of Hassett (15%–16%) and current board member Waller (13%–14%). Powell's term will expire on May 15, and Trump is expected to announce the successor within this month.
