Microsoft CEO: The Core of the AI Era Is Not a "Single Model" but "Model Orchestration and Compute Factories"

Glonghui, January 21｜Microsoft CEO stated that in the AI era, the true strategic focus does not lie in possessing a single “foundation model,” but rather in computing power infrastructure, model orchestration capabilities, and the deep integration of enterprise knowledge. Nadella pointed out that one of Microsoft’s core AI strategies is to build Azure into a large-scale “Token Factory.” As AI applications become widespread, computing power demand is growing exponentially, and cloud service providers must be able to build heterogeneous infrastructure clusters while improving utilization and reducing total cost of ownership through software.
