CNN: No written agreement has been reached on the Greenland issue
BlockBeats News, January 23, according to CNN, Trump and NATO Secretary General Rutte reached a verbal consensus on the Greenland issue during their meeting on Wednesday, but no written document has yet been formed to confirm any future agreement.
Sources said that Trump and Rutte agreed to further consult on updating the 1951 tripartite agreement signed by the United States, Denmark, and Greenland, which regulates the stationing of US troops on the island. Another potential aspect of the agreement is to expand US access to Greenland's natural resources, including its mineral resources. However, Rutte denied on Thursday that he had directly discussed this issue with Trump.
