Columbia Banking System Announces Strong Fourth Quarter Results
Columbia Banking System Inc., headquartered in Tacoma, Washington, disclosed a net income of $215 million for the fourth quarter.
The company reported earnings of $0.72 per share, which, after adjusting for non-recurring items, increased to $0.82 per share.
These earnings exceeded the expectations of Wall Street analysts, who had predicted an average of $0.72 per share according to a survey by Zacks Investment Research.
During the quarter, Columbia Banking System generated $948 million in total revenue, with net revenue after interest expenses reaching $717 million—both figures surpassing analyst forecasts.
Looking at the full year, the bank holding company achieved a profit of $550 million, translating to $2.30 per share, and reported annual revenue of $2.3 billion.
