Overlooking Geopolitical Threats?
Global Markets Remain Upbeat Despite Rising Geopolitical Tensions
Although geopolitical risks around the world have increased, financial markets have shown little reaction. The overall market sentiment continues to lean positive, even as CNN’s Fear and Greed Index unexpectedly signals a “neutral” outlook. While some investors claim to be cautious due to high asset prices and worldwide instability, the majority of asset managers are taking notably optimistic positions, focusing heavily on sectors such as banking and technology that are sensitive to economic cycles.
This apparent disconnect between voiced concerns and actual investment strategies largely stems from widespread expectations that central banks will continue to loosen monetary policy. As a result, global liquidity is projected to expand at a much faster pace than before.
