Trump predicts interest rates will come down after he announces Fed chair pick

Jan 27 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump ​on Tuesday ‌said he will soon ‌announce his pick to serve as head of the ⁠Federal Reserve, ‌and predicted interest rates would ‍decline after the new chair takes over.

"When we ​have a ‌great Fed chairman, I think we're going to have one. I'll announce it ⁠pretty soon. ​You'll see ​rates come down a lot," Trump ‍said ⁠during a speech in Iowa.
