Brinker International Surpasses Earnings Expectations in Second Quarter
Brinker International Inc., headquartered in Dallas, announced a net profit of $128.5 million for its fiscal second quarter.
The company reported earnings of $2.86 per share, or $2.87 per share after adjusting for one-time expenses.
These figures outperformed analysts’ predictions, as the consensus from nine Zacks Investment Research analysts had anticipated earnings of $2.53 per share.
Brinker, which operates the Chili's Grill & Bar and Maggiano's Little Italy restaurant chains, also reported quarterly revenue of $1.45 billion, exceeding the $1.4 billion forecasted by seven analysts surveyed by Zacks.
Looking ahead, Brinker International projects its annual earnings to fall between $10.45 and $10.85 per share, with expected revenue ranging from $5.76 billion to $5.83 billion.
