ADP Announces Second-Quarter Financial Results
Automatic Data Processing Inc. (ADP), headquartered in Roseland, New Jersey, has released its financial results for the fiscal second quarter, reporting a net profit of $1.06 billion.
The company’s earnings translated to $2.62 per share, surpassing the $2.58 per share consensus forecast from six analysts polled by Zacks Investment Research.
During the quarter, ADP generated $5.36 billion in revenue. However, this figure was slightly below the $5.38 billion anticipated by five analysts surveyed by Zacks.
Since the start of the year, ADP’s stock price has declined by 1%, in contrast to the S&P 500 index, which has gained nearly 2% over the same period. Over the past year, ADP shares have dropped by 15%.
